Elevating Huntington Ingalls Industries' Digital Presence via Between Collective

Introduction

Between Collective embarked on a project to elevate the digital presence of Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) - America's largest military shipbuilding company. Through this collaboration, Between Collective was responsible for redesigning and managing HII's website, as well as creating and coordinating various campaigns. My involvement in this project as a Project Coordinator for campaigns and website enhancement provided an opportunity to contribute to a significant transformation in HII's digital outreach.

Problem

HII was in need of a comprehensive team to coordinate and execute multiple projects simultaneously, especially for their digital campaigns and website redevelopment. The goal was to create a cohesive and engaging online presence that matched the company's reputation as a leading manufacturer of warships and submarines for the military. The challenge lay in efficiently managing these parallel projects to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery.

Solution

  1. Project Coordination for Campaigns: Took charge of the campaign planning and execution, ensuring alignment with HII's brand and objectives. Facilitated communication and collaboration between the creative team, stakeholders, and Between Collective to deliver compelling content and visuals.
  2. Building User Stories for New Website Pages: Focused on understanding and documenting the needs of different website visitors to guide the redesign. This led to the creation of targeted user stories that informed the design and content strategy, making the website more intuitive and engaging.
  3. Quality Assurance Testing of the Website and Web Projects: Led a thorough Quality Assurance process for the website and other digital initiatives. This included detailed testing of the user interface, functionality, performance, and security to ensure a flawless and impactful user experience.
